A Real Dividend Growth Machine: 2012 Review

A new article of mine has been published on the investing website Seeking Alpha. The article is entitled A Real Dividend Growth Machine: 2012 Review and it provides a review of my dividend growth investing progress last year.

Going forward, I plan to continue writing monthly reviews on my blog, but I will publish quarterly and annual reviews on Seeking Alpha.

  1. This was excellent work DGM. I was very surprised to see how low the national savings average is (not surprised by how much you trounced it!). Makes you aware of some of the things we take for granted in generating our own dividend machines (ie that your ability to save aggressively is ultimately the lynchpin of success).

    1. Integrator: Thanks! It is also interesting to see how the national savings rate has changed over time. There were several years in the 1970's and 1980's when it was over 10%. For the past 10 years it's been below 5% except for a temporary spike during the 2008-09 recession.

  2. DGM, nice work and excellent results. I liked your graphs, mainly that one about your savings and the national average one.

  3. Great work DGM. Investors need to know this type of facility. Hope this is good for all.
